Birel Easykart Driver Program signing at KartMania exhibition

Saturday 28th November 2009

We arrived at KartMania (sponsored by Karting Magazine) held in the Ricoh Arena in Coventry at about 11am today, decked out in our Easykart World Final shirts for an Easykart Driver Program photo opportunity at the Birel Easykart UK stand.

We found the Birel Easykart stand and chatted with Andy Cox of Andy Cox Racing who are the UK Importers for Birel Italy . Soon after, John Vigor of Club100  who is the Easykart series promoter arrived and we began the photoshoot with Chris Walker of KartPix. Shots were taken of Ronan signing the contract with Andy and John, so we eagerly await some copies of those so we can publish them on our site!

Two other drivers were also signing Easykart Driver Program contracts today, one driver was there the same time as us, but we had to wait for one who was arriving at 3pm so Chris could take some shots of all three drivers together for Easykarts own promotional stuff.

While we were waiting, we had a good look around the show exhibition stands and visited Darren Masters from Kart-Tek who had a stand in the Kart-Boot hall, who was very busy! This gave us some time to hand out our promo postcards to show visitors, and thanks to Andy at Easykart and Darren at Kart-Tek for letting us leave some postcards on their stands. Hopefully we have generated some more interest in Ronan's progress in Easykart. We also paid a visit to the MIR race gear stand so Ronan could try on some suits so we can order the right sized Birel Suit that we will receive complete with the Easykart Driver Program logo.

At 3pm we went back to the Birel Easykart stand and had photos taken of Ronan and the other two drivers amongst the display karts, with Andy and John.

Was nice to catch up with some of the other faces from the Easykart series and a few people from other Karting classes like Stars and some of the Clubs that we know. The show was full of visitors, and you even had to queue to be let into the Kart-Boot section it was so busy! A good sign that there is big interest in Karting out there at the moment.
