After a successful 2008 season competing at club level in the Cadet Comer class, we were excited to hear that the kart manufacturing giant Birel were introducing a Cadet kart in the UK to complement the well established worldwide Easykart Junior and Senior classes.
For the 2009 season we decided to contest the Easykart UK Championship which meant acquiring a brand new Kart and engine from UK Importer Andy Cox Racing. Italian manufacturer Birel's Easykart is a huge formula throughout Europe, Central and South America, Japan and Russia where the top drivers from each country qualify to race in the World Finals, held in Italy each year.
We enjoyed a very successful maiden season in Easykart in 2009. Ronan took 3rd in the UK Championship and finished 47th out of 76 in the World Finals in Italy. He also won the E Plate Open Championship and was selected for the prestigious International Easykart Driver Program, which included automatic entry to the European and World Finals later this year, and testing in Italy in July prior to the Finals.
We are expecting great results for the 2010 season - we aim to win the UK Championship and achieve a top 5 finish in the World Finals.
